According to the EPA, Americans spend approximately 90 percent of their time indoors, where the concentrations of some pollutants are often 2 to 5 times higher than typical outdoor concentrations. Create a cleaner, fresher, and healthier environment for your family with our air exchangers, humidifiers, and air purifiers. We also offer duct cleaning, which we recommend every 10 years and after every home renovation project.
Whole House Humidifiers:
Save your family and your home from the damaging effects of over-dry air. Dry nose and cracked, itchy skin. Aggravated allergy and asthma symptoms. Painful static shocks. Chipping paint and plaster. Warped or damaged wood floors, furniture, trim and molding. Sound familiar? Why go through another season with these problems when there is a solution – a Whole-Home Humidifier.
Infinity Air Purifier:
Traps and Kills Air Pollutants: Purifies, Doesn’t merely filter
Continuing its dedication to offering healthy home solutions with advanced indoor air quality products, Carrier Corporation, introduces the most advanced indoor air quality product to ever hit the market – the new Infinity™ Air Purifier. Unlike other products that merely capture particles from the air, the Infinity Air Purifier both captures and kills airborne allergens, bacteria, molds and viruses. It combines superior filtration efficiency with pathogen-killing technology to deliver maximum air purification against airborne germs and allergens with optimal comfort for homeowners. The new product from Carrier improves indoor air quality while maintaining the efficiency, reliability and performance of Carrier’s Infinity System.
Duct Cleaning:
Feeling like dirty air or dust is coming out of your vents? Sounds like it is time for you to get your ducts cleaned! The average 1500 square foot home generates 40 pounds of dust per year according to Philip Tierno, a microbiologist and pathologist at the New York University School of Medicine. This dust can consist of bacteria, mold, pollen, dust mites, pet hair, and even toxic materials such as chromium, mercury, and pesticides. These pollutants are picked up and circulated into the air you breathe. Those are not things you want to breathe in everyday! We recommend getting your ducts cleaned every 10 years or following any home renovation project.
NuShield Air Purifier:
NuShield is an air purifying device that installs in any duct system. When air passes over the NuShield, ions produced by the device reduce pathogens, allergens, particles, smoke and odors in the air, creating a healthy environment without producing any harmful byproducts.
NuShield uses patented technology, called needle-point bi-polar ionization, to create equal amounts of positive and negative ions. When these ions are injected into the air stream, they break down passing pollutants and gasses into harmless compounds like oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and water vapor.
When the ions come in contact with viruses, bacteria or mold, they remove the hydrogen molecules – without them, the pathogens have no source of energy and will die. The ions also attach to allergens like pollen and other particles, causing them to band together until they are large enough to either fall and be vacuumed up or be caught in your air filter.
UV Light:
An Ultraviolet Germicidal Lamp reduces the amount of pollutants, such as mold, bacteria, fungi and viruses, leaving your home with cleaner, fresher indoor air. UV technology has been tested by General Electric, Penn State University, and Harvard School of Public Health, which has been proven that it is effective in reducing airborne pollutants.
In residential applications, the objective is to create a cost effective and continuous method of cleaning the air. The kill rate of air pollutants is a function of space, time and the intensity of UV. Because UV has been proven to work in a cumulative manner, the polluted air is cleaned over time and subsequent passages over the UV lamp. Germs are constantly growing in our indoor environment and pollute the air we breathe. There is one place in our home where we can have the UV technology that can clean 100% of the air we breathe and that is in our HVAC system!
Air Exchangers:
With indoor air quality being 2-5 times worse on average, we want to constantly introduce clean, fresh air into our homes. The way to do that is an air exchanger. An air exchanger will pull fresh air into your home, absorb 50-70% of the energy from the existing indoor air, and then exhaust the stale, cooled air. Fresh air is especially important during the winter months when we are inside more. A positive biproduct of air exchangers is they can help control excess levels of humidity during the winter. Newer homes are sealed up very well, which is a positive but this will lead to excess humidity during the winter. Condensation can lead to damaged windows, mold growth and even structural damage. Ultimately, poor indoor air quality can directly affect the health of your family and your home. Fortunately, there’s an effective solution - a home ventilation system. This will maintain a healthy indoor air quality and moisture control by continuously introducing tempered fresh air while exhausting stale, moist air to the outside.
