Duct Cleaning

The average 1500 square foot home generates 40 pounds of dust per year. Household dust is comprised of bacteria, mold spores, pollen, dust mites, dead insect parts, pet hair and dander, toxic materials such as chromium, mercury, and pesticides. Your air duct system functions as the respiratory system of your home. As air circulates, it picks up these pollutants which naturally build up in heating and air conditioning ductwork systems and re-circulates into the air we breathe. If your home’s respiratory system gets contaminated, so does your body’s. The average child eats 15 to 20 milligrams of dust a day.

The best way to check if your home could use a duct cleaning is to remove the vent cover in a main living area like your kitchen or living room. A return air on an interior wall works best. Then look into the vent to see how much duct & debris has accumulated. Pro Tip – Using a smart phone with the flash on to take a photo may help get a better angle. We generally recommend every 10 years and following every home renovation project. We typically charge between $650-$750. If you would like to schedule a duct cleaning, please call 608-782-4035 for confirmed pricing and scheduling. For more information on our duct cleaning equipment or process, please watch this video:

iWave Air Purifier

iWave is an air purifying device that installs in any air duct conditioning system. When air passes over the iWave, ions produced by the device reduce pathogens, allergens, particles, smoke and odors in the air, creating a healthy environment with out producing any harmful byproducts.

iWave uses patented technology, called needle-point bi-polar ionization, to create equal amounts of positive and negative ions. When these ions are injected into the air stream, they break down passing pollutants and gases into harmless compounds like oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and water vapor.

When the ions come in contact with viruses, bacteria or mold, they remove the hydrogen molecules – without them, the pathogens have no source of energy and will die. The ions also attach to allergens like pollen and other particles, causing them to band together until they are large enough to be caught by your ventilation system’s air filter.

iWave’s technology generates the same ions that nature creates with lightning, waterfalls, ocean waves, etc. Nature uses energy and shear to break apart molecules, naturally cleaning the air and producing a healthy environment. The only difference between the iWave’s technology and nature is that the iWave does it without developing harmful ozone.

UV Light

Ultraviolet Germicidal Lamp reduces the amount of pollutants, such as mold, bacteria, fungi and viruses, leaving your home with cleaner, fresher indoor air.  UV technology has been tested by General Electric, Penn State University, and Harvard School of Public Health, which it has been proven that it is effective in reducing airborne pollutants.

In residential applications, the objective is to create a cost effective and continuous method of cleaning the air.  The kill rate of air pollutants is a function of space, time and the intensity of UV.  Because UV has been proven to work in a cumulative manner, the polluted air is cleaned over time and subsequent passages over the UV lamp.  Germs are constantly growing in our indoor environment and pollute the air we breathe. There is one place in our home that we can have the UV technology can clean 100% of the air we breathe and that is in our HVAC system.

Air to Air Exchangers

Air to Air Exchangers

Excess levels of humidity and condensation can lead to damaged windows, mold growth and even structural damage. Ultimately, poor indoor air quality can directly affect your family and your home. Fortunately, there’s an effective solution….a home ventilation system. It will maintain good indoor air quality and moisture control by continuously introducing tempered fresh air from the outside while exhausting stale, moist air to the outside.
